Milestones

Miles went to kindergarten orientation yesterday morning.  We were up early for the big event.  He got to see his classroom, meet his teachers and his classmates, and go to the library for a story.  Some nervousness separating from me, which I did not expect, but he got over it quickly and *shocker*  I thought I even saw him following directions!

Mommy had to sit in a meeting about busses and lunches and policy this and that, make a bus pass (for Miles), and fill out paperwork.

After all that we got to ride on the bus!  The kids were excited, but it was very hot and they were glad to get off.

Overall a positive experience for everyone.  Although I would warn anyone who sees Miles not to use the "k" word since he seems to shut down every time someone mentions it.  Still looking for an outlet for him this fall.  Maybe walking him to school?  For now just enjoying the last week of vacation!
